Kinship House is pleased to announce that Dennise M. Kowalczyk has joined the non-profit to manage all aspects of fund development and public relations for the organization.
Dennise M. Kowalczyk is a long-time fundraising and communications professional having spent the past decade in a variety of roles ranging from volunteer participation at several non-profits to serving in various leadership positions. Her wealth of experience includes donor stewardship, event planning and communications.
“We selected Dennise for her extensive, professional background to take the lead in the development of our fundraising and communications capacity,” said executive director, Heather Jefferis. “The timing is perfect as Kinship House begins its next phase of service with expanded work in our community to help foster kids find loving, permanent homes.”
Kinship House was founded in 1996 and provides outpatient mental health services to children and their families. We specialize in championing children and families with target interventions during all stages of foster care, reunification and adoption. In twenty years of providing mental health services, we have served thousands of local children on their journey to the care only a permanent and healthy family can provide. With almost 3,000 children in foster care annually in Multnomah County alone, our services ensure that children and family have the support they need to navigate the process in a holistic approach.
