The Dougy Center provides support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families grieving a death can share their experiences. Through their Pathways Program, the center provides a safe place for families facing an advanced serious illness.
The center provides support and training locally, nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief. They are supported solely through private support from individuals, foundations, and companies. The Dougy Center does not charge a fee for its services.
Recently, Heather Jefferis (our executive director), Dennise M. Kowalczyk (our development director), and Debbie Ngan (Kinship House Board Member) visited with Brennan Wood (executive director of The Dougy Center) to learn more about the organization’s work with the community and the rebuilding project of their beautiful facility.
